Why would James Chartrand, a prolific male copyright blogger, refuse to use the telephone and admit to wearing woman’s underwear? Because he’s actually a she who couldn’t get established being female, so she created a differently-gendered pseudonym. But in some places, like Facebook, the value of pseudonymity isn’t well recognized or respected, and if that trend continues we fear that privacy could become yet another privilege for the wealthy. Welcome to the Privacy Wars.
This week, Emma and I invited friends of the show Viviane and Nikolas to join us for an extremely important conversation with world-reknowned digital identity expert, Kaliya Hamlin. We are absolutely honored that Kaliya took the trouble to teach us about her work saving the world with user-centric identity, and what that means.
